beloved

If you don’t quit, you win. You will stumble; I stumble. I stumble, and I go: “Lord! Can You believe it? I did that! I thought that! Where did that come from?” And the Lord just says, “Repent, sincerely. Go ‘That’s not who I am.’ Say, “No, no, no. I’m not gonna find my identity in that. I am not mostly a sinner who tries to love. I’m mostly a lover who struggles with sin…’ ” I am a lover of God. When you get this identity, “I am a lover of God.” That whenever you do trip, you get up, and you run to God, instead of away from Him. This is what He is looking for. It says in Isaiah that He’s looking for the broken, and the contrite. that means humble. Do you know that the more you try to live in love, which is the same thing as righteousness when you’re talking about love for God, the more that you try to do this, the more broken you become- the more humble you become.
